Annually at Western Health, there are 5,000 to 6,000 procedures requiring anesthesia support performed. Western Health takes pride in the provision of quality surgical services for a variety of specialty procedures including total joint and spinal surgery, cataract surgery and laparoscopic procedures.
Special Care Baby Unit
For babies who are small, premature or who need extra care or observation. Also for those who have difficulties when feeding. Located at the end of one of the postnatal wards. Mother and baby are nursed together, and the parents are encouraged to be involved in their baby’s care.
